Mare Nostrum Apart Hotel was designed and built on a 150 m² plot in place of an apartment that had completed its structural life. Freed from the old building's sprawling plan, a sun-sheltered, generous, free space — familiar from traditional Mediterranean house typologies — was created on the north-facing ground floor.
